Late January

Jobi Jocko *S x Jobi Aida * 3 D  2*M AR

We are excited that Jobi animals are proof that careful breeding can make this breed into a true dairy animal. She needs more foreudder extension and tighter elbows and toes.We are excited to have Willa back on a Spring kidding schedule as the fall kidders never seem to produce as well, her production was so high her first (spring) freshening, that gives us hope for this one to be much better for her.

Willa is the dam of our 2009 1st place Produce of Dam class

5th Late February

Rosasharn's SS Unity +*B x Jobi Gia 4*D 4*M AR

Gold Eyes, Wattles

Agnes is a very dairy doe with a great will to milk.  We have milked her straight through two seasons (on her 2nd lactation) and her production has remained great at over 1 quart per day.

This breeding will be a repeat of the cross that produced Angelica, whose mammary scored Excellent and has had a couple of best udders.

Blue Eyes

Harriet milked 5.3 pounds the second test of her 2nd freshening.  She is our top milker now, and we were so thrilled to finish her in the show ring.  She broke her left front knee during her 3rd pregnancy.  We are hoping it heals enough for her to continue her career.

Dam's Milk Production: 2-01-496-1230-87-(7.0%)-54(4.4%)

While Chloe has some general appearance issues, her udder has the best texture of any udder in our herd.  2009's appraiser said he rarely has given an Excellent in that category to a Nigerian.  When she milks out, it is like watching a balloon deflate.   We are retaining her buck kid based on pedigree and Chloe's mammary.

This will be a purposeful linebreeding with Delite's sister's son.

Truly our nicest overall doe.  We are proud of her looks, attitude and milkability.  She is a smaller doe, so not the volume of some of our bigger girls, but plenty for her size.

Kaapio Acres Moonstruck +B*S x QSF Here's a Riddle 2*M AR

Gold Eyes

Frolic is a lovely daughter of Riddle who was an ADGA breed leader in 2005 and one of our best foundation does.  Not quite the mammary capacity as her full sister Harriet, but more dairy character.  Milking quite well.

2x Sr. Grand Champion, 1x Res Sr. Grand, 2x Best Udder breed, 10th place 2010 ADGA National Show.

Angelica is the most dairy, long necked doe in our herd, with an udder that might even be nicer than Deana's (until you compare them milked out).  We adore her disposition as well.

Milking through

Pholia Farm KM Goliath *B x GCH Jobi Deana 5*M

Noir has decent general appearance, and good dairy character. But not quite the mammary shape. We have been a bit disappointed with the two offspring we have freshened by Goliath.  She has great udder texture, though, and is milking quite well.

Noir milked 4.2 pounds on the first test of her 2nd freshening!

 A Brief Policy Note

Milk production, Linear Appraisal, and the showing are all important to us.  We give buyers with similar goals to ours a bit of a preference.  It helps our herd records and management to know how well our offspring are doing in the milk bucket and in the ring.

One day milk testing is fine, as we understand that the commitment of milking for 10 months can be too much for many folks.  Also, showing is not for everyone, but linear appraisal is another very helpful tool for evaluating conformation.  Of all of these, milk testing is probably our first priority, as only through these our bucks can earn their pluses (+).

Bucks are available only from 2nd or better fresheners who have proved themselves in the milk pail.  They must also have exceptional pedigrees. Please do not make flashy coats and blue eyes your priority when selecting a buck.  We like those qualities too, but they should not be the deciding factor.

Please let us know your herd goals, plans and limitations when reserving kids and we will try to work with you.   Thank you!
